WE DTE understands that there are still customers without power in these extremely cold temperatures; and while our crews are working to resolve challenging individual outage situations, it’s important that you keep warm. Below is information for local warming centers:

The Summit on the Park
46000 Summit Parkway
Canton Township, Mich.
Operation hours: 5:50 a.m.-10 p.m. (Mon.-Fri.); 6 a.m.-8 p.m. (Saturday); and 6 a.m.-7 p.m. (Sunday)
Be sure to sign-in at the front desk and you will be directed to the warming center from there. For more information, call (734) 394-5460.

Cass Community Social Service
11850 Woodrow Wilson
Detroit, MI 48206
Operation hours: Check-in is at 4 p.m. and women and children only can stay until noon the next day, every day through March. The center capacity is approximately 50 beds. For more information, call (313) 883-2277.

Operation Get Down (2 locations in Detroit with operation hours of: 6:30 p.m.-7 a.m.)

  • 6821 Medbury St. (between 1-94 service drive and E. Grand Blvd.). This location is for men, women and children. The center capacity is approximately 300 beds.
  • 101000 Harper Ave. This location is for men only. The center capacity is approximately 60 beds.

City of Livonia Recreation Center
15100 Hubbard
Livonia, Mich.
Operation hours: Check-in is 9 p.m. (Mon.-Fri.). For more information, call the recreation center at (734) 466-2900 or the Mayor’s Office at (734) 466-2201. This is a temporary shelter for residents who are without power. Proof of residence must be provided.

Ray of Hope Day Center
16546 E. Nine Mile Road.
Eastpointe, Mich.
Operation hours: 7 p.m-7 a.m. seven days a week. The center capacity is approximately 80 beds. For more information call (586) 321-0998.
