WE DTE understands that despite some improvement in the economy, 2012 continued to be a particularly challenging year for so many of DTE Energy’s customers. Unemployment and other life-changing challenges can impact any of us.
In 2012, DTE reached out to customers by hosting 30 Customer Assistance Days (CADs) throughout the state in cities like Grand Rapids, Farmington Hills, Royal Oak, Warren, Waterford, Detroit, Taylor, Allen Park, Belleville, Muskegon and Redford. With the help of social service and state agency partners, DTE was able to provided energy assistance dollars to helped ease the burden for more than 6,700 individuals and families.
Partnering with agencies such as THAW, the Department of Human Service, Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, Salvation Army, MPSC and others, DTE energy provided more than $2.5 million to those in need. WE DTE would like to thank all of our partners for participating in the 2012 CADs, which help us to make a difference in the lives of our customers.
